No, the route has been changed. This year, the parade will not pass along Sainte-Catherine Street, west of Robert Bourassa Boulevard. The start will be on René-Lévesque Boulevard, opposite the Esplanade PVM.

Note that Sainte-Catherine Street between De Bleury and Balmoral Streets will not be accessible to the public.

How long does the Parade last?

The Parade lasts about 45 minutes. Bring warm, comfortable clothing for all weather conditions!

Is there a big screen to follow the Parade without being along the route?

The Parade draws crowds! For the comfort of young and old alike, Dorchester Square will be the first place to welcome a big screen on which the Parade will be broadcast. Make-up artists and a choir will provide entertainment from 10 am.

If I attend Santa's stunt at 10:30am at Esplanade PVM, can I then go to Sainte-Catherine Street to watch the Parade?

No, it won’t be possible to go back to rue Sainte-Catherine after the stunt at Esplanade PVM. You have two options.
1) Attend the parade from Robert-Bourassa Boulevard via rue Cathcart Street.
2) Go to Dorchester Square to watch the parade live on the big screen.

Sainte-Catherine Street between de Bleury and Balmoral is not accessible to the public. So how do you get to the eastern part of the route?

Detours will be set up via Maisonneuve O. and René-Lévesque O. boulevards. If you’re west of rue de Bleury during the Parade, these detours will take you to the Quartier des spectacles for the Christmas Market and the Petites Tounes concert at 12:15pm.

Is there an area for persons with reduced mobility?

There are no dedicated areas for persons with reduced mobility along the route. However, a big screen will be set up in Dorchester Square for live coverage of the parade. The square is cleared of snow.
